Who We Are

Long Island Community Connections is a small grassroots organization that works to revitalize its community by creating a supportive space for development projects to get the conceptual and technical support they need to move from idea to reality.  Essentially we create an incubation space, as is often done in the for-profit sector, but at LICC we make this space in a non-profit setting for programs geared toward community development.  Each project we undertake aligns with our vision and mission but has the unique focus of its creator and developers.  Projects started in our incubation space can stay for a short launch into their own 501(c)3 status or stay as part of a longer term supported growth plan.

The project incubation support provided by LICC can be as diverse as the programs we develop.  Support can include consultation and connection with the local non-profit community, physical space for production and administrative activities, technical and webhosting support, and linkage with local resources.  We have a small, dedicated team of staff and volunteers who have diverse experience in nonprofit sector and program development who advise on all our projects and each program is assigned a specific project lead from within our team.
